Peanut oil is obtained from the seed pod of the peanut (Arachis hypogaea), a plant that grows mainly in tropical areas. The oil content of the fresh pulp is 50%. It sells mainly as a refined bright pale yellow. Oil rich in oleic and linoleic acid (over 55% and 30%). Used in the pharmaceutical industry mainly as an excipient in fat-soluble drugs. It is also valued as a carrier oil in the cosmetics sector. Recommended for dry skin. Used in body washes.
