Interfat guarantees a sustainable supply of its raw materials in environmental, social and economic terms

We choose suppliers and partners who guarantee the protection of human rights and the environment. We prioritize products with ecological or organic certificates and from fair trade, which have demonstrable company environmental certifications.
Whenever possible, we choose nearby suppliers, thus reducing the carbon footprint derived from transporting the merchandise and, at the same time, allowing us to activate the local economy near our facilities.

Since last April 2021, we have used new 100% electric delivery trucks for last-mile transports. With this, we are taking another step towards our goal of sustainable transport.

Interfat advances in its commitment to sustainability since one of our objectives is to reduce the use of plastic packaging, we have achieved this thanks to new measures using alternative packaging. Among the improvements that have been carried out in 2021, we highlight that all our drums are made of steel, and our pallets are made of recycled wood to avoid felling trees.

We implement intermodal logistics to reduce CO2 emissions, energy consumption per unit of load, and to reduce noise and waste levels in terms of packaging and packaging of merchandise. The fact of combining several means of transport is a more sustainable option for our shipments, since it is less polluting to transport a merchandise by combining a truck and a rail transport, than to do the entire journey by truck. It is a task that we have been carrying out for years and we still have a long way to go.
