Description
Flaxseed oil is obtained from the seed of the flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) a plant grown mainly in Canada and increasingly in Eastern Europe.
The oil content in the seed is 35-45%.
The process to produce the oil consists of heating refined linseed oil at high temperatures (near 300 ° C) under conditions that exclude oxygen.
Stand oil may have multiple viscosities (from 2 to more than 450 poises).
